Thank you to all who already follow me and I'm looking forward to sharing more and reading all of your blogs as the school year is about to begin. To celebrate, I am having a GIVEAWAY!
I am giving away 2 items…
The first, my good friend and blogging buddy Dee Dee Wills is helping me out with this, if you win, you may choose any item from her TpT Store. She has many great items to choose from. Check her store out!
And the second, a brand new copy of…
“The More Ways You Teach, The More Students You Reach”
Click the book image if you would like to get a preview
This book is authored by some great educators in the field of differentiated instruction-but my most favorite is Donna Whyte. I was able to attend many of her workshops at the Mo. Kindergarten Conference.
So…to enter you must do 4 things…
3. Blog about my giveaway on your blog (send me your link)
4. Leave a comment and share something you do in your classroom to differentiate for your students.
If I reach 200 followers through this giveaway, I will throw in a “surprise” 3rd gift!
I will choose the winners on Monday August 8!

I had several centers and lots of different reading books/activities that the kids could choose from. I was a first year teacher so, I have a gazillion ideas to implement next year!

To differentiate in math I have a para work with the top kiddos so that I can focus on the needier ones and not worry about the others.
I followed all 4 steps! :) http://imamomtoo.blogspot.com/2011/08/im-going-looney-for-teacher-give-aways.html

To differentiate during centers (oops, changing that name to Literacy Work Stations), I switch out materials based on the group that will be using that station. For example, my students who need more support, may have more pictures and less writing, whereas my higher achievers may have a quick sketch and more lines for their writing:)
I now follow your blog! Cute stuff!

I always have a few choices to do at a given Literacy Centre. For instance, at the pocket chart centre students can put the words in alpha order, do a syllable clap, arrange picture cards by initial sound, etc. Also, I like to mix my groups - I always have a variety of students in each (needs and advanced are put together to help each other). The kids love centre time!

I completed all 4 requirements. I follow both of your fabulous blogs! I tweeted your giveaway (since I do not use my blog). The differentiation tool I use in my classroom is in my lesson planning. The Multiple Intelligence Theory guides my lessons so that I include choice in almost everything we do.

To differentiate in my classroom, I make sure I have different materials at each center or for each lesson so that my higher students are challenged while my lower students receive the scaffolding they need.
