Kindergarten Buddy Day

We had an awesome day with our kindergarten buddies! We took a tour of the classroom,  read a book "Ruby In Her Own Time" then we worked together to create a duck and wrapped up our time interacting with the smartboard, reading and highlighting "Spring" words! I am looking forward getting to spend the next 2 years with the incoming "K" class...

Look out Kindergarten...here we come!

The Best Dressed Class!

Aren't they the sweetest! I know I am a bit prejudice! LOL

Day 15-Extra Recess

A much needed break from the rain and a predicted temperature of 75 degrees today! How fitting for day 15 to be an extra recess. We had a wonderful turnout at the Spring Concert last night, (check out the pictures). Today our class will be joined by 10 pre-k kiddos. We love Buddy Day! I am excited to meet a handful of the incoming kindergarten class for next year.

We are missing our our "peeps!"

Tic-Tac-Toe, three in a row!
Hope Hunter is safe in Alabama, Caden has an eye injury and Makala is under the weather!

BUTTERFLIES!!

They have all hatched, and we are enjoying observing them in the "butterfly net!" I said I would like to keep them until we have Breakfast with Mom next week and one of my kiddos said, "Well we can keep them for 100 days!"

Day 16-Extra Snacks

Seems that these kiddos always have the munchies. We have a quick snack time daily while I am doing the Writers Workshop mini lesson, today an a.m. an p.m. snack....
It is also our Spring Concert tonight, our awesome music teacher, Mrs. Haus has put together a performance involving jazz, blues and swing music!

Day 18-Bubbles!!!

Looks like the rain will give us a break today and we can go outside and enjoy a terrific Tuesday, celebrating Day 18 with BUBBLES!!! We recycled, reused and they were certainly reduced  paper towel tubes when we were done using them to blow bubbles!
